SkillAEO Privacy Policy

This policy describes the data processed by the SkillAEO service operator. The public repository does not identify a separate incorporated legal entity; privacy and operator questions can be sent to support@skillaeo.com.

Anonymous and account use

You can run the limited public audit without creating an account. The anonymous audit saves the submitted domain, audit state, rate-limit data including a one-way IP hash, public-page observations, generated prompts, provider and model details, timestamps, raw provider answers, parsed results, citation sources, and error states needed to produce and protect the report.

An account is required for private history, paid reports, saved Skills Packs, billing, settings, and other account-only features. Account data can include email, name, authentication identifiers, session records, plan, quota, purchases, and saved work.

Website and provider data

When you submit a domain, SkillAEO may request publicly accessible webpages and store URLs, visible content signals, metadata, headings, canonical links, robots rules, sitemap results, structured data, and related findings.

Model checks are sent through KIE to an available model service. Service data is limited to what is necessary to run the check, but it is not fully anonymous: a prompt may contain the submitted brand, domain, competitor, locale, or other identifiable public context. We store the exact prompt, raw provider answers, citations, provider, model, search-mode information when known, timestamps, and evaluation results so a report can be audited.

Payments, email, authentication, and analytics

Enabled payment providers process billing and transaction information; SkillAEO does not need to store a full card number. Enabled social sign-in providers process authentication data. An enabled email provider receives recipient and message-delivery data.

The production site loads Ahrefs Web Analytics. Other analytics providers supported by the application are used only when configured. Analytics can receive page, referrer, device, interaction, and network-derived information under their own policies.

Uses

We use data to run audits, show and save reports, generate reviewable drafts, enforce rate and account limits, process payments, secure the service, provide support, troubleshoot failures, measure product use, and meet legal obligations. We do not sell personal information.

Sharing and processors

We share only the data needed for a service provider to perform its role, to comply with law, or to protect users and the service. See the current Subprocessors page for hosting, database, model, authentication, email, payment, and analytics providers.

KIE and available model providers have their own logging, retention, and training policies. SkillAEO does not claim control over a provider copy after a valid request is sent. KIE currently states that text and metadata logs are retained for two months; review KIE's current retention information and privacy policy before submitting sensitive material.

Retention and deletion

Plan history windows control how much report history is made available in the product. They are not presented as a guarantee that every database, backup, fraud-prevention, payment, or provider record is automatically erased at that exact time. We retain records as needed to provide the service, protect it from abuse, resolve disputes, and meet legal or accounting duties.

You may request account and associated audit deletion at support@skillaeo.com. We will verify the request and explain any record that must be retained or is controlled by another provider. Anonymous users should include the exact domain, approximate run time, and report identifier when available.

Security and transfers

We use access controls and encrypted transport where supported and configured. No internet service can guarantee absolute security. Providers may process data in countries different from yours; their published terms and data-transfer mechanisms apply. See Security.

Your choices and rights

Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, or a copy of personal data and may object to or restrict certain processing. You can unsubscribe from non-essential email and manage browser cookies or analytics controls. Contact support to exercise a request.

Children and changes

SkillAEO is not intended for children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data. We may update this policy as the product or providers change; the updated date on this page records the current version.
