1. Introduction and Acceptance

Welcome to Skillaeo, an AI Engine Optimization (AEO) platform that helps you measure and improve your visibility in AI-powered search engines including ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, and Perplexity.

By accessing or using Skillaeo, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree with any of these terms, please do not use our service.

Effective Date: February 4, 2026

2. Description of Service

Skillaeo provides:

  • AEO Audits: Analysis of your website's visibility and citation patterns in AI search engines
  • AI Visibility Scoring: Measurement of how often AI engines cite your content vs. competitors
  • Competitor Analysis: Insights into which domains AI recommends instead of yours
  • Skills Pack Generation: Automated creation of optimization files (llms.txt, robots.txt, agent.json, schema markup, etc.)
  • Priority Fixes: Evidence-based recommendations to improve AI visibility

3. User Accounts

3.1 Account Creation

To access Skillaeo features, you must create an account using a valid email address or third-party authentication (Google, GitHub). You must provide accurate information during registration.

3.2 Account Security

You are responsible for:

  • Maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
  • All activities that occur under your account
  • Notifying us immediately of any unauthorized access

3.3 Account Restrictions

  • One account per person
  • You may not share account credentials
  • You may not create multiple accounts to circumvent usage limits

4. Subscription Plans and Payments

4.1 Plans

Skillaeo offers the following plans:

  • Free: Limited audits and basic features
  • Starter ($39.90/month): 25 Full Reports, unlimited rechecks, 5 domains
  • Pro ($99.90/month): 90 Full Reports, all AI engines, 20 domains

4.2 Payment Terms

  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled
  • Prices are in USD and exclude applicable taxes
  • You agree to pay all charges associated with your selected plan

4.3 Refund Policy

  • Subscription fees are generally non-refundable
  • We may offer refunds at our discretion for technical issues preventing service use
  • One-time purchases (Skills Pack unlocks, Add-on packs) are non-refundable once delivered

4.4 Plan Changes

  • You may upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time
  • Upgrades take effect immediately; downgrades take effect at the next billing cycle
  • Unused quota does not roll over between billing periods

5. Acceptable Use

5.1 Permitted Use

You may use Skillaeo to:

  • Analyze websites you own or have authorization to audit
  • Generate optimization recommendations for your domains
  • Download and implement Skills Pack files on your websites

5.2 Prohibited Activities

You agree NOT to:

  • Audit websites without owner authorization
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits, quotas, or security measures
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercially exploit Skillaeo reports without authorization
  • Use automated tools to access the service beyond normal API usage
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code from Skillaeo
  • Interfere with or disrupt the service or servers
  • Use the service for any illegal purpose
  • Create multiple free accounts to circumvent usage limits

6. Intellectual Property

6.1 Skillaeo Ownership

Skillaeo and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by Skillaeo and are protected by international copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.

6.2 Your Content

  • You retain ownership of your website data and domain information
  • You grant Skillaeo a license to process your data solely to provide the service
  • Generated reports and Skills Packs are for your use on the analyzed domains

6.3 Feedback

Any feedback, suggestions, or ideas you provide may be used by Skillaeo without obligation to you.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of Skillaeo is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your information.

8. Third-Party Services

Skillaeo integrates with third-party services including:

  • AI Engines (via OpenRouter): For visibility testing
  • Stripe: For payment processing
  • Cloudflare: For hosting and security

Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms and policies.

9. Service Availability

9.1 Uptime

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Scheduled maintenance will be announced in advance when possible.

9.2 Modifications

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the service at any time, with or without notice.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Accuracy or completeness of audit results
  • Guaranteed improvement in AI search visibility
  • Uninterrupted or error-free operation

AI visibility results depend on third-party AI engines and may vary over time.

11. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SKILLAEO SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR:

  • Any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
  • Loss of profits, data, use, or goodwill
  • Service interruptions or data loss
  • Third-party AI engine behavior or responses

Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid to Skillaeo in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Skillaeo and its affiliates from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses arising from:

  • Your use of the service
  • Your violation of these Terms
  • Your violation of any third-party rights
  • Content you submit to the service

13. Termination

13.1 By You

You may cancel your subscription and close your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support.

13.2 By Skillaeo

We may suspend or terminate your access immediately, without notice, if you:

  • Violate these Terms
  • Engage in fraudulent or abusive behavior
  • Fail to pay applicable fees

13.3 Effect of Termination

Upon termination:

  • Your right to use the service ceases immediately
  • We may delete your account data after the retention period
  • Provisions that should survive termination will remain in effect

14. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes shall be resolved through binding arbitration or in courts of competent jurisdiction.

15. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms at any time. We will notify you of material changes by:

  • Posting a notice on our website
  • Sending an email to your registered address

Your continued use of Skillaeo after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
